The Audio Conference Series offers advanced information on the ADA to supplement basic ADA knowledge. Sessions are scheduled from 1:00 to 2:30 pm Central Time (90 minutes) and are real-time captioned on the Great Lakes ADA Center web site. This month’s Audio Conference Session will focus on the impact of the ADA and access to public transportation for persons with disabilities. Since the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act in July of 1990, access to reliable public transportation is still an issue for persons with disabilities. This session will highlight the findings of the National Council on Disability (NCD) report titled "The Current State of Transportation for People with Disabilities" due to be released on Friday, June 17th. Join the session to learn more about the reports findings and recommendations that NCD will be making to Congress and the U.S. Department of Transportation.
